Co-curricular programs
At Kitchener Public School, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities offer students a variety of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and contribute to the school community.
Dance Group
The dance is open to students in years 2-6. Each week dancers meet at lunch or recess to learn routines. We audition for Hunter Schools Dance Festival and Star Struck each year. From time to time we perform at local community events such as The Bush Land Festival.
Rotations
Fridays are rotation day at Kitchener Public School. Our classes rotate through 4 programs throughout the day including:
Music - Taught by Mrs Rees a Qualified Music in Me Mentor
Art - Taught by the talented Ms Brunton
Our Kinnection - Cultural activities led by Joey
Sport - Fit 4 Kids teach a vairety of sports throughout out they year
Public Speaking
We run an in school public speaking competition each year and successful students move onto Zone and Regional competitions.
Sport
Our students participate in a variety of PSSA and Gala sports days across the year. Including: touch, soccer, netball and basketball.
